Ortega's Variety Show '22

Ortega's Got Talent '22 is happening in June! Due to the rapidly approaching end of school, this year's variety show applications MUST be submitted by May 10, 2022 . . . extended from May 4. Read below for additional details including a link to sign up.

Ortega’s 2022 Variety Show

APPLICATION & DEADLINE

Variety show application must be submitted by May 10th, 2022. Late applications will not be accepted. If your student is performing in a group, please make sure all forms are submitted. Each student is allowed to participate in ONE routine, either a solo or a group, not both. We can not accommodate multiple routines this year. Each routine should be as close to 1 minute in length as possible. Routines with music must send edited songs to activities@ortegapto.org by May 4th, 2022.

ANNOUNCERS & BACKSTAGE CREW (4TH & 5TH GRADE ONLY)

All students wanting to be an announcer or a member of the backstage crew must fill out an application and attend the rehearsals.

PERFORMERS (ALL STUDENTS)

Each routine should be as close to 1 minute in length as possible. Please plan on bringing all props rehearsals.

REHEARSALS

All performers, backstage crew and announcers are required to attend all rehearsal dates. PLEASE SCHEDULE OTHER COMMITMENTS AROUND THESE DATES. Students are expected to be respectful to performers on stage and will be dismissed from rehearsal for disrespectful conduct. Performers will be dismissed after they have rehearsed their routine and have signed out with an adult volunteer. Students will not be allowed to film or take photos of other routines during rehearsals. Parents are encouraged to volunteer and welcome to attend rehearsals.

PERFORMANCE

This year's performances will take place during school hours and be split between 2 days. June 2 will be TK-2 and June 3 will be 3rd-5th. Performances will be videotaped for families.

5/11 1:45pm rehearsal in MPR

5/18 1:45pm rehearsal in MPR

5/25 1:45pm dress rehearsal & cast photos in MPR

6/1 1:45pm dress rehearsal in MPR

6/3 School performance; Time TBD in MPR
