We are so excited to invite you to join us for our Paella Adult Social, MC'd by our own Mr. Miranda and Mr. Hagarty!

This year will mark our first year to have a pre-auction Adult Social fundraiser Sat May 9 from 6pm-10pm, the weekend before the Silent Auction and Open House. Tickets will be limited, so you'll want to purchase quickly once they go on sale, starting April 1.

This is an adult-only event. Boys & Girls Club Yosemite Club is offering special childcare services for our event. Please contact them for details.

The Experience

Watch it cook. Grab a plate. Buy raffle tickets. Mingle with your people. Enjoy the music. Win cool stuff. Support a great cause!

The evening features a specialty paella chef's dinner, included with your ticket. Drink tickets and raffle tickets will be available on-site for purchase. The bar will include alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options.

We will be raffling off curated baskets just for this event, as well as a dessert raffle! All MC'd by Mr. Miranda and Mr. Hagarty! You won't want to miss it!

Proceeds go to the Ortega PTO.

Chef Spotlight

Clyde Hinshelwood and Paella Experience

We are thrilled to welcome Clyde Hinshelwood with Paella Experience as our chef for the evening.

Clyde’s love for Spanish food and culture was shaped during three years living in Spain, where he immersed himself in the traditions of Valencia, Alicante, and Madrid. For him, paella is more than a meal—it’s a shared experience built around fire, conversation, and that perfect crispy socarrat at the bottom of the pan.


Back in California, he spent over a decade cooking for friends, family, and events before launching Paella Experience, combining authentic techniques with top-quality Spanish ingredients like bomba rice, saffron, and pimentón.

The Menu

Your ticket includes a serving of your choice of seafood or vegetarian paella, and salad. Drink tickets will be sold at the event.

Fundraising

This is a Fundraiser!

Proceeds from the event go to Ortega's PTO

This money will be used to

- fully fund our garden sciences program

- introduce Ortega students to an array of art mediums,

- continue to provide our library with the funds needed to operate,

- ensure our students have a dynamic physical education,

- and continue providing extra resources for our teachers and students.

 

Reaching our goal depends on the generosity of the friends, families, businesses, and community members of Ortega Elementary.

Your admission ticket, as well as drink and raffle tickets, help fund these worthwhile programs.

Online Silent Auction, Raffle, and Open House

Yes, we are still having our Silent Auction and Raffle on Open House night!

In fact, the Adult Social is kicking off the opening of our online silent auction, which will close after Open House on May 19, 2026.

Volunteers

Our fundraisers couldn't run without volunteers! And this is no exception. We will need volunteers to help check in attendees, sell raffle and drink tickets, and run the bar.

Auction Donation Information

Please consider making a donation to this year's auction! Alternatively, you can print out the form below and submit it to the front office. This has all of Ortega PTO’s information you’ll need for tax records and also helps our volunteers stay organized.

 

Our donation deadline this year is Monday, April 20th to allow volunteers sufficient time to get everything organized and online for auction night.  Donors will be prominently acknowledged on our website. This year, we have four levels of donors based on the dollar value of contributions.

 

Platinum donor ($1,000 +) 

Gold donor ($300 - $999)  

Silver donor ($100 - $299) 

Bronze donors ($1 - $99)

 

Any amount is greatly appreciated; it all adds up! Thank you in advance for your support in making this year's auction a great success and for supporting our school!  If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us directly.
