Thank you Ortega for a successful Walk-A-Thon! We look forward to bringing this fun event back in Fall 2022.


Ortega's 17th Annual Walk-A-Thon 

is Friday, October 15, 2021

The Ortega Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) raises funds for important projects and programs at our school. The money collected from Walk-A-Thon will be used to help pay for Ortega's:

  • Science Lab Instructor,

  • Art Instructor,

  • Computer Aide,

  • Garden Coordinator,

  • Poetry, and

  • P.E just to name a few.


100% of the money raised from the Walk-A-Thon goes to our school! No middle man/company that we have to pay!


It’s a great way for our students to spend a day earning money for our school while promoting physical fitness. This year we will be holding this fundraiser on Friday, October 15th during school hours.

Students are gathering sponsors by asking for friends, family, and neighbors for flat sum donations.   Pledges are a flat amount, not per lap. The completed Sponsor Sheet & Pledge Money must be turned in to the front office or student’s teacher by Friday, October 15, to qualify for prizes. Ortega will announce the prize winners the following week!

Note: Unfortunately, due to covid restrictions, we will not be having a carnival this year for Walk-a-Thon. We realize that the carnival is a big highlight for students and it also generates a lot of money for our school. We’re hoping that we will be able to have a carnival in the spring of 2022.
